Can never find what you need
Simple app authentication is broken and support’s “troubleshooting” is beyond unhelpful 7/1/24 update - still not working 3/1/25 update - now working! Not sure when the fix was pushed but I’ve updated my star rating.
When using the app at night with dark mode, that white splash screen at the start is too jarring and unnecessary. Please remove it or make the color match the device setting.
Don’t use fidelity. Especially these institutional/advisor accounts. They are absolutely infuriating to deal with, charge ridiculous fees, and hold your money hostage. Don’t do it
I used the app to make an additional loan payment just 2 weeks ago, then the app updated, any now many screens relating to loan details and explore options are all blank. Do you test your apps before releasing, because blank screens would certainly break even the most basic automated tests. Guess I'll just wait a month hope for a fix. Btw representatives online were polite, helpful, but powerless. But I do appreciate their patience.
Generally like this app but with the last couple of versions FaceID no longer works. It offers to enable it every time I login (after putting in user id, password from my keychain, going through two-factor authentication (even though I selected “remember device” during the prior login), etc.) - but FaceID always fails - and I have to go through ALL the steps all over again the next time.
Always forces you to sign in like a cheap no-code freelancer app. Face ID doesn’t work—can’t even be activated. Constantly sends annoying text codes. The app lacks proper information architecture, and the design looks like it was made (or just thrown together) by a 10-year-old. It’s 300MB but still missing key desktop features. Honestly, this is embarrassing. Companies a fraction of your size do a better job.
Automatically logs me out after telling me it’s unable to show my info. Can’t view anything.
This app is a frustrating maze of links and not intuitive. Also, it’s one of those apps that won’t allow you to do most things within the app, and it instead just links you to the page. Just bookmark their site in Safari, you’ll get the same experience or better
On the screen where they text you a security code there is a check box that says “don’t ask again on this phone”. That doesn’t work. Every single time I have to receive a text with a code to login.
Not even exaggerating. It’s no longer usable. The app opens to the logo, then just sits on a black screen. It never goes past it. I literally can’t use the app.
After reinstalling, every time I try to login a popup says “we can’t display your information right now”
Every time I try to log in, it keeps attempting Face ID for my login and does not let me access the app. Can’t even check my records. Horrible app.
Chatbot leads to an endless loop when trying to connect to a representative
Clearly the developers got together and tried to figure out how to make this app as non-intuitive as possible. Website version is even worse (if you can imagine that).
Touch ID no longer works for login. Upon trying to enable it, whether at login or within the app, a message is displayed that reads “Touch ID Failed / You can set up Touch ID next time you log in to the app or from app settings.”
I have tried to find ways to send feedback and the app doesn’t seem to want to provide a way, so I am leaving it here. The app tries to show retirement pm aim g readiness. I have a company pension and it defaults to 65. The retirement planning tool asks for when you want to retire but it doesn’t adjust the pension. It leaves it at 65! Kind of frustrating it won’t grab the pension payout based on the planned retirement age!
The app is absolute TRASH!!! And customer support is simply horrible and unresponsive !
Retirement analysis score no longer exists. The fidelity tool looks like it did 20 years ago, very basic!
Your website and app stated they I can access my virtual card while I wait for my physical card in the mail. This is a lie as it is apparently only for Android devices which is not only stupid, but it says that absolutely Z NOWHERE. False advertising.
Stop being lazy and fix this trash app. No way I spent all this time signing in just not even be able load into the app. Waste of my time I’m about to retire from Fidelity and go somewhere else
Really disappointed my employer switched to Fidelity from T. Rowe Price.
I like the Netbenefits app more than any other Fidelity app. I would reduce the number of stars if I weren’t able to use the older version of Fullview which provides much more useful information than the updated Fullview version. Please don’t change anything else!
Deleted the NB app just after reinstalling, thinking it was improved since last year. Not. A pop up blocks my ability to use the app so I deleted it. Dont think I can control the pop up in the app since it isn't a browser, tho the login does look exactly like the webpage. Nothing in Fidelity's consumer facing technical world works-- not its app, not its website. Fidelity, stop assuming everyone is on a Windows laptop when you quality test the website and app. I report that all the time to their cust service.
Found the app very helpful in managing my retirement accounts and my HSA.
Let’s be real, any Fidelity app or website seems like it was the first version ever built and never touched again, but this is the worst of the bunch. Most of the functionality opens the website in the app and that interface is very glitchy so you get through most of their onerous flow only to be stuck and unable to finish what you were doing. They are unquestionably the worst experience of any brokerage.
Needing two different apps in order to use Fidelity services leads to an absolutely terrible customer experience. The NetBenefits app should be rolled into the Fidelity app. Apart from that, Fidelity's UI is incredibly dated and unpleasant to use. They use web views for nearly all of the functionality which is absurd. I'd recommend choosing a more modern brokerage instead.
This app is very easy to use. I can do anything and everything with it.
I love how quick and easy this app is to use. Quick and fast response from CS.
This app is so easy to navigate. I could see all the info I need In a simplified format.
Very useful app
I have my company 401k with Fidelity and as such I figured I should use this app to help manage it (contributions/etc) I installed it on my MacBook and then ran it. I have a rather secure network setup on the MacBook that blocks network access per application, and thus I allowed this application to access fidelity.com but nothing else. The app seemed to work just fine except I then looked at the blocked network calls and see that it attempted to also contact: adobedtm.com branch.io crashlytics.com googleapis.com localytics.com online-metrix.net qualtrics.com splunkcloud.com What would a financial application for Fidelity be doing contacting these other company sites? There is nothing good that can become of this. At least it leaks usage information to those sites at they see the requests from your IP address and also from your device (or at least the app) if not some user ID or device ID. At worst they could be security risks since a breach in any of those could cause some compromise in the app (unknown since the app is not open source so I can not evaluate it, but the risk is there since some data clearly flows between those sites and the app) This seriously concerns me - enough that I would never run this on any device or machine that can not block network access with such detail and granularity. I would urge Fidelity to take a long hard look at this app and its risk factors. I will now need to investigate the other Fidelity apps when I get time.
Works well
And I have to login every single time
This app provides convenient and up to date benefit information.
Easy to read and navigate throughout
Easy to use and very secure.
Nothing but recursive feedback loops, when it works at all, and the website is just as bad in its own way. So bad that I am tempted to close my account. What a waste of time.
Great app everything you need is available
All together a great easy to use quick app
The app is easy to use. It helps you real-time track your progress to retirement.
Easy to use and fast results. Rolled over and was safe, quick and easy. Great job by everyone involved. Keep up the great work. Have a Great Day! Take Care & GOD BLESS
Very user friendly. Keeps me up today with all of my important information.
I have been using this app for about a year now. I love it and I find it very easy to work with.
I’ve had accounts with Fidelity for over 30 years and the app just gets better. NetBenefits allows me to track work accounts like 401(k) and ESPP along with my other personal accounts in one convenient easy to use space. Tons of educational content and support. Never have had an issue with this app and have been using it for decades. You can’t go wrong
This app has always been a breeze to use and done what I needed.
It is an app that contains all the information I need as an employee in my workplace, and even more information that helps me personally, only sometimes it was a little complicated to find a specific topic to find it, I guess it is because I need to become more familiar with all the options that the app offers.
I’m absolutely shocked by how easy as well as informative this App is. It easily routes you to the correct answers to your questions and the layout is sharp and classy. I just love the display of my asset value in the top space with a perfectly rich and bold font. Kudos
